Additional Services

Children’s Home-Based Services (HBS) offers additional services to our families which includes private pay services, parenting classes, training opportunities and consultation for other service providers, and a teen social skills group. Information regarding fees associated with these services is available on request.

Private Pay Services

Private Pay Services include case management, behavior supports, Applied Behavior Analysis for children with autism, and parent training.

Positive Strategies for Parenting (Parenting Class)

This class is appropriate for parents or caregivers of children of all abilities. Topics covered during each session include understanding behaviors, responding to desired behaviors (reinforcement), teaching new skills, preventative strategies, responding to challenging behaviors, communication strategies and collecting data.

Teen Social Skills Group

This group is designed for children in our community, ages 13-21, with a developmental disability to provide them with social opportunities in building social engagement and life skills. The group meets once per month, typically on Friday nights from 5:00-7:00.

Training Opportunities and Consultation

Training and consultation are offered for community agencies providing services to children, such as childcare facilities, schools, after school programs and other intervention services. Trainings provided to other agencies are designed and presented based on each agency’s needs. Consultation services may include Functional Behavior Assessments, developing Behavior Support Plans, and training staff in behavior management of an individual.

Quality Life Concepts also partners with the Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD), Parents Let’s Unite for Kids (PLUK), Montana Youth Transitions, Montana School for the Deaf and Blind (MSDB), and Northcentral Learning Resource Center (NCLRC) in coordinating trainings for parents and professionals on topics such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504s, guardianship/alternatives to guardianship, adult transitions, behaviors, etc.
