Direct Support Professional

Quality Life Concepts has immediate openings for Full and Part Time Direct Support Professionals. This is a non-exempt hourly position. Starting wage is $15/hr plus an opportunity for a sign-on bonus.

WHAT DO WE DO
Direct Support Professionals provides daily support to adults with developmental disabilities living in their own homes by providing quality support services that will assist them to maintain independence, provide opportunities for community integration, and create a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Assist in daily living including cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.;
- Provide support for medical and health needs;
- Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating and transporting to doctor’s appointments;
- Ensure client safety and well-being;
- Provide a positive and fun environment;
- Help clients to learn applicable life skills and reach their personal goals.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING
- Creative problem solving, coaching, understanding, patience, kindness;
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills;
- Willingness to support people’s preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings;
- Ability to stay alert and awake at all times.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
- Paid training! Including 1st Aid & CPR. Also new hire training and annual required training;

Sign-on bonus opportunities for Direct Support Professionals:
You may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $600 over a one-year period.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS diploma/GED required;
- Computer skills;
- Able to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds;
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record preferred;
- Must pass a criminal background check;
- Must be able to work at least 1 weekend day.
WHAT IS AVAILABLE:
- Full time Direct Support Professional – 40 hours per week;
- Part-time Direct Support Professional -10-39 hours per week;
- Relief; on-call/fill-in positions-must work at least 32 hours per month;
- Schedules vary with early morning shifts, afternoon/evening shifts, and over night shifts.
STARTING WAGE:
- Full-time and part-time Direct Support Professionals start at $15 and after successful completion of the probationary period will receive an increase to $15.25.
- Relief positions start at $13 per hour.
- Night Shift Differential is $0.50 per hour between 10 pm and 6 am.

Quality Life Concepts has immediate openings for Full and Part Time Direct Support Professionals for the overnight shift of 8 pm to 6 am. This is a non-exempt hourly position. Starting wage is $15/hr plus a $.50 night shift differential for hours worked between 10 pm and 6 am.
Direct Support Professional overnight shifts are 8 pm to 6 am, 4 days per week for Full Time.
