VOCATIONAL SUPPORTS & DAY PROGRAMS

QLC offers a number of vocational supports for people with intellectual/physical disabilities, including supported employment, work services, intensive day services, day supports and activities, and Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

QLC provides supports to people with intellectual/physical disabilities to help them acquire and maintain skills that prepare them for employment in the community. Employment opportunities can include lawn mowing, commercial and residential cleaning, shredding, and detailing vehicles.

WORK SERVICES

QLC provides supports to people with intellectual/physical disabilities in providing job preparation skills. This program supports clients who are currently employed in the community as well as those who are not. Clients are assisted with a range of activities to prepare them for work in the community including but not limited to personal hygiene, time management, and social and team work skills. Clients participate in janitorial, landscaping, packaging, and poster hanging. Clients also enjoy recreational activities and volunteer opportunities that occur in their community.

INTENSIVE DAY SERVICES

QLC’s SOAR program offers daytime supports to people with intensive intellectual/physical disabilities. Clients participate in job preparation skills, arts/crafts activities, social and recreational opportunities.

DAY SUPPORTS & ACTIVITIES

QLC offers supports to people who are of retirement age or who choose to no longer attend their work program. Clients served in this program have the choice to stay at home or attend the intensive day program at SOAR. Clients are offered daily leisure activities and weekly recreational outings of their choice.

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES

QLC contracts with the Vocational Rehabilitation Program of Montana. All clients served in this program are approved and referred through the Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Services in this program are provided to clients serviced by QLC and clients referred to QLC through Vocational Rehabilitation.
Services offered through this program are assistance with job assessments, resumes, interview skills, jobs available in the community, and job coaching supports. Clients in services are offered long-term supports to ensure success in job placement. Clients referred by the Vocational Rehabilitation Program who need more supports are offered extended employment job coaching supports. All other clients are short-term based on needs to ensure successful job placement.
